Concord Baptist Church during COVID-19
As Concord Baptist Church continues to navigate decisions in light of COVID-19, we remain committed to providing a safe worship experience that honors our Lord and Savior.
On Sunday, May 17th, our congregation began meeting in person, with Sunday morning worship services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Our church family was divided among the two service times to allow for social distancing. Guests are encouraged to attend the service of their choosing. Additional cleaning and sanitation procedures have also been enacted between services. Facebook Live streams will continue for the 11 a.m. Sunday service as well as 7 p.m. Wednesday services throughout the month of June.
We want our church family and guests to feel as comfortable as possible, whether they choose to worship with us in person or participate via live stream. We strongly encourage those who are 65 years or older, especially those with underlying health issues, to prayerfully consider what you should do. We want families and individuals to be comfortable and feel safe in their decisions. Those who would feel more comfortable wearing a mask to in-person services are welcome and encouraged to do so.
CBC will continue to follow all guidelines from the CDC as well as local officials. Our Pastor and Deacon Board will continue to monitor the situation and make further decisions as needed.
Please review the following considerations and guidelines for our in-person services:
Entrances: Please enter the church through the front foyer entrances unless the handicap ramp is needed.
Seating: We ask that families sit together and that everyone allow for proper social distancing; this should be easy considering our reduced numbers in each service.
Restrooms: Please only use the restrooms in the foyer, which will help church staff and volunteers clean and sanitize after services.
Nursery: The nursery will not be staffed with volunteers, but families are welcome to watch their children in the nursery. If both nurseries are occupied, please use a first-floor classroom; please be sure to notify a deacon if you used a classroom so volunteers can properly clean and sanitize.
Tithes and offerings: Sunday School and general tithe offerings may be given in the foyer in the proper offering plates. Online offerings may still be given using Paypal.
Upcoming events: During the month of May, we had special events planned for our mothers, graduates, and the commencement program for our Kings Kids. These will be postponed to a later time to be able to properly celebrate all of them together. Please send your information for your college, high school, and kindergarten graduates to Becky Bartlett as soon as possible (email@example.com).
